About Steamway Restoration & Services

We started because homeowners

deserve better.

Years in the restoration industry showed us a pattern. Homeowners called contractor after contractor, only to find companies treating their restorations like just another project on a Tuesday. We saw shortcuts. We saw excuses. We saw people disappointed with work that cost them thousands. That's when we knew we had to step in.

Steamway Restoration and Services started with a simple commitment: put quality, honesty, and customer experience first. Not as marketing language, but as the actual filter for every decision we make. We're locally owned and operated, which means we work in the neighborhoods where we live. Our reputation isn't built on advertising. It's built on the people we serve and the work we leave behind.

Our team focuses on 24/7 water extraction, mold remediation, fire and water damage repair, drain and sewage backups, bio hazard cleanups, air duct cleaning, and bluff restoration in the Kenai Peninsula. We chose to specialize rather than spread thin, because mastery matters when it's your home.

Our Story

Hello! We are Jason & Amy Bucho. We've been married since 1994 and have raised three beautiful and healthy children right here in Southcentral Alaska. Both of our families moved to Homer in 1983 when we were each just 10 years old, giving us deep roots and a genuine connection to the communities we serve across the Kenai Peninsula and beyond.

Eight years ago, our family purchased Steamway Restoration with a heartfelt desire to serve the Kenai Peninsula community during life’s most difficult moments. From water damage caused by frozen pipes and flooding, to fire and smoke damage, mold remediation, sewage backups, and biohazard cleanup, we understand how overwhelming these emergencies can be. Our mission is to restore not only your property, but more importantly, your peace of mind.

With over 26 years of experience in construction and restoration, Jason Bucho has built a strong reputation for quality workmanship and dependable service. As a licensed general contractor, he has specialized in insurance restoration and remodeling projects, helping countless homeowners recover from unexpected disasters while also building new homes from the ground up. This broad experience gives him a deep understanding of what true quality craftsmanship looks like in every situation.

As a Christian family, our faith is the foundation of both our home and our business. We pride ourselves in treating every customer with honesty, compassion, and integrity.
